Posted 21 sep 2026There is no closing date

Role Overview

This is a part-time consultancy engagement with SEG/Basshall Records ("Basshall"), working three days per week. The consultant will take on a full Label Manager position, owning the day-to-day running of the label and taking releases from planning through to execution and post-release analysis, whilst helping to shape the label's direction alongside the wider team.

About Basshall Records

Basshall Records is an independent label built around music, artists and culture. The label moves quickly, thinks internationally and operates with short decision-making lines. The consultant will sit at the intersection of artists, management, distribution, marketing and creative, ensuring that great music gets released the right way.

We are not looking for someone who simply wants to work at a record label. We are looking for someone who wants to help build one.

Key Responsibilities

Release Management

•     Own and manage the release calendar from initial planning through to post-release.

•     Build release plans in collaboration with artists, managers and the wider team.

•     Coordinate distribution, metadata, masters, artwork and all delivery deadlines.

•     Upload new releases into the system via the Necessity Portal.

•     Maintain the release database and checklist.

•     Ensure all pitching materials are in place ahead of each release.

Operations & Administration

•     Ensure paperwork has been generated for all releases, including label copy and legal paperwork.

•     Ensure tracks are registered with Sena (the PPL equivalent).

•     Help distribute statements to artists twice yearly, in conjunction with Grey Men.

•     Ensure budgets are meaningfully managed, logging costs for recoupment.

Marketing, DSPs & Strategy

•     Work closely with DSPs, distributors and music partners to maximise release impact.

•     Drive marketing, social, content, PR and promotional activity around releases.

•     Pitch releases and spot opportunities across streaming, social and culture.

•     Track streaming and campaign performance and translate data into next actions.

•     Help shape release strategy alongside the wider Basshall and marketing teams.

Artist Relations & A&R

•     Act as a trusted day-to-day contact for artists and their teams.

•     Help identify new music, collaborations, signings and opportunities for the label.

•     Help build and develop Basshall Records, not simply maintain it.

About You

You are part strategist, part project manager, part problem-solver and part music fan. Comfortable moving between a release strategy, a last-minute asset request and a conversation with an artist. You bring:

•     Relevant experience at a label, distributor, management company or elsewhere in the music industry.

•     A solid understanding of releases, digital distribution, DSPs and the modern music landscape.

•     Knowledge of how music travels through streaming, social media and culture.

•     Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple releases at once.

•     Clear, natural communication with artists, creatives and business partners.

•     Commercial instincts, with an understanding that the artist and the music always come first.

•     The ability to work independently and take real ownership.

•     Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.

•     A base in or around Amsterdam, or the ability to work from Amsterdam regularly.
