The opportunity 

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced PR professional with an extensive media network to help us tell our clients stories. This is a high-impact role that will play a key part in accelerating our clients’ momentum and strengthening their reputation with audiences that matter. Reporting to the senior PR Team, the PR Manager will craft and disseminate the client’s narrative through the media and beyond.


As a PR Manager, you will lead media strategies for brands, artists, releases, tours and events, helping to increase visibility and awareness. You will work closely with artists, managers, booking agents and label marketeers, and stay in regular contact with journalists and other key media contacts. Your responsibilities include creating tailored press materials and campaigns, based on a good understanding of what different media outlets are looking for. You will build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, engage in face-to-face meetings with opinion leaders, and serve as a constant champion of The Media Nanny team.


An exciting part of this role is the opportunity to be on the road with artists, joining press trips, conferences, and being present at key moments. We’re looking for someone who’s available and open to travel when needed, and who sees this as a fun and valuable part of the job.


The ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, strong strategic thinking when it comes to messaging and pitching, and proven leadership and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to motivate, guide and support team members. Verbal communication skills in Dutch are a plus. We’re looking for someone who can quickly adapt to our dynamic environment and is experienced in PR with established press contacts in the music, lifestyle, hospitality and/or entertainment industry.


Responsibilities

  • Elevate our clients profiles across national and international media

  • Develop press outreach strategies and write press releases

  • Establish relationships with key reporters to increase awareness of our clients

  • Write biographies, organize photo shoots and keep press kits up to date

  • Lead interview preparations for clients and create Q&A’s

  • Securing media placements

  • Working on-site at events

  • Coordinate press activities with artist managers, tour managers, and agents

  • Handling interview schedules

  • Organizing press events and media activations

  • Track media coverage and prepare performance reports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in PR/communications, ideally in music, lifestyle, or entertainment

  • Proven account management skills (specifically in the field of music PR), experience in rolling out integrated (earned, owned, shared and paid) campaigns and working in international teams

  • Experience in working in teams, supporting Senior PR managers, as well as guiding Junior PR Managers

  • You contribute innovative, inspiring ideas for both clients and the agency

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of media (print, online, radio, tv etc.)

  • Excellent organizational  and time management skills, with the ability to deliver complex projects under tight deadlines

  • Strong media relationships

  • You are a team player, you get to the heart of the matter quickly, you work efficiently and you think in terms of solutions

  • You are flexible, organized, and able to stay calm and perform effectively under tight deadlines.

  • Fluent in English (reading and writing), Dutch is a plus 

  • High-confidence, composure and low-ego
