CREATIVITY EXERCISES YOU CAN DO THIS WEEKEND
Four simple ways to get out of autopilot, and give your brain something new to play with.

THE COLOUR WALK
Choose one colour before you head out, then take photos every time you spot it. Look for unexpected shades, shapes and textures - the goal is to see something familiar differently.
LET YOUR CAMERA CHOOSE
Scroll through your camera roll, stop at a completely random photo and use it as your starting point. Sketch it, recreate it, write about it, turn it into a moodboard - whatever comes to mind first.
NON-DOMINANT HAND
Draw, write, paint or even make your morning coffee using your other hand. The awkwardness is the point - changing how you physically do something can force you to approach it differently.
ONE LINER
Pick an object, person or scene around you and draw it in one continuous line. Don't worry about making it look good - focus on observing what's actually in front of you.
