About the role
We're looking for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen at Sjefietshe – Amsterdam's first (and only) cevicheria, right in the heart of De Pijp.
You'll run your own section and work directly with our Head Chef to put out bold, fresh seafood dishes with Latin American soul. Think ceviches, grilled fish, seasonal sides – the kind of food that keeps people coming back. Your job is to help us maintain the quality and keep the kitchen buzzing.
What you'll be doing
Prepping and plating dishes to our standards
Keeping your station tight and organized during service
Jumping in to help the team when things get busy
Keeping an eye on quality, stock, and waste
Showing the ropes to junior chefs and keeping the vibe positive
What we're after
Solid experience as a Chef de Partie (or similar)
A genuine love for seafood, fresh ingredients, and making plates look good
An eye for detail and consistency
Someone who works well with others and stays flexible
Availability for evenings and weekends

Six years ago we started as a pop-up, and now we’re proud to be the first and only cevicheria in Amsterdam, right in the heart of De Pijp.
As a cevicheria, we look beyond Amsterdam and stay true to the South American roots of the dish. But we don’t stop at ceviche — you’ll also find plenty of other great seafood dishes on our menu.
